ABSTRACT

The study presents selected results of almost 25 years of research of Pipunculidae fauna in Slovakia. Eudorylas okalii sp.nov. Kozánek et Kehlmaier is described. The following new combinations are proposed: Claraeola clavata (Becker, 1897) (Eudorylas) and Clistoabdominalis ruralis (Meigen, 1824) (Eudorylas). Chalarus brevicaudis Jervis, 1992; Ch. exiquus (Haliday, 1833); Ch. indistinctus Jervis, 1992; Ch. juliae Jervis, 1992; Ch. perplexus Jervis, 1992; Nephrocerus lapponicus Zetterstedt, 1838; Cephalosphaera germanica Aczél, 1940; Claraeola clavata (Becker, 1897); Cla. halterata (Meigen, 1838); Eudorylas carpathicus Kozánek, 1993; E. demeyeri Kozánek, 1993; E. fusculus (Zetterstedt, 1844); E. goennersdorfensis Dempewolf et Dunk, 1996; E. holosericeus (Becker, 1897); E. unicolor (Zetterstedt, 1844); E. vonderdunki Dempewolf, 1998; E. zonatus (Zetterstedt , 1849); Tomosvaryella cilitarsis (Strobl, 1910) and T. israelensis De Meyer, 1995 are reported for the first time from Slovakia. Altogether, 101 Pipunculidae species belonging to 14 genera are listed.
